Date with a Straight: A Night OUT with our Allies is a 2-night fundraiser for Spokane’s 2010 Pride Celebration, scheduled this year for Saturday, June 12.

The fundraiser is broken down into 2 parts and 2 nights. The first night, Friday February 12, ten pre-selected gay, straight and lesbian participants will be “auctioned” to the highest bidder for a “date” the following night. Cover for the event is $3, with all bids starting at $25. Anyone in the crowd can bid on each contestant if they like. The lovely Nova Kaine will be our hostess for the evening, held at Irv's Bar, 415 W. Sprague. A meet and greet starts at 7:00pm, with auction to follow. Bring a big smile, and an open wallet - our dates are sure to impress!

The “date” will be held at the Giant Ass Drum Corps Valentine Ball held at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Spokane, on Saturday, February 13. The ball is a formal/semi formal community dance that starts at 8:00pm. Each “auctionee” and their bidder will receive an entry ticket and 1 drink ticket for free. Alcohol can be purchased at the dance, but each person will have to purchase anything beyond the initial drink ticket.

The Ball and the “date” are scheduled to end at 12:00am. If both parties consent, the date can end earlier.
